Shopify Onboarding: Before you Begin
Prerequisites
Before connecting your Shopify store to GoBolt, please ensure that you’ve completed the following prerequisites:
Unique Product SKUs
This is important to ensure fulfillment is not blocked. Make sure each product variant in your Shopify store has a unique SKU. See more about managing SKUs.
Duplicate or blank SKUs (even in draft mode) will cause errors during synchronization.
All products must be marked as Active in Shopify. Products in Draft mode will not be synced to GoBolt.
Cross-Border Product Information
If you’re shipping internationally, it’s essential to enter the following details for each product:
HS Codes (Harmonized System Code)
Retail Price
Country of Origin
These details ensure that an accurate commercial invoice is generated for customs.
Virtual Kits Setup Steps (Bundles)
Make sure to account for your virtual kits or bundles.
Sync all your products and upgrade the products intended to be “Bundles” into “Virtual Kits” on the GoBolt side
Add products that belong to each kit into the virtual kit
As long as the SKU matches exactly, GoBolt will automatically map the product to your Shopify store.
Locations Setup
You must have at least one fulfillment location set up on Shopify.
All products that you plan to fulfill through GoBolt should be stocked under this location. See how to assign products to a specific location.
For more information on setting up and assigning products to a fulfillment location, check out Shopify’s guide here.
You can easily update your product details in bulk using Shopify’s CSV file upload or the bulk editor. Shopify’s documentation provides more information on how to manage your products in bulk.
